iGEM Stockholm is an interdisciplinary group of students from KI, KTH and Konstfack. We aspire to push boundaries within science to create innovative approaches with the help of synthetic biology. The team consist of 21 students representing 10 different nationalities. Being part of the Swedish society, we strongly believe in equality and its use in the scientific world. Founded in 2016 by the Unipreneurs, Create² (pronounced create squared) is Sweden’s largest student entrepreneurship marathon, bringing together the most ambitious and creative students for a weekend of developing ideas into business plans.

The EIT Health Alumni Network was set up as a cross-cutting initiative in 2017, with the goal of enhancing the wider EIT Health community by connecting enthusiastic alumni to the different EIT Health and cross-KIC Alumni activities. In 2018, the Network will focus on expanding its programme and add new offers and tools to the EIT Health Alumni Platform. The overarching target is to further strengthen the exchange among alumni and partners, resulting in activities in the digital and non-digital sphere.
EIT Health CLC Scandinavia operates primarily in the Stockholm/Uppsala region in Sweden and in the Copenhagen region in Denmark, encompassing two of the four “innovation leaders” in Europe. These settings provide a vibrant innovation environment with very close ties between business, universities, university hospitals and care providers. Test beds and incubators in these areas offer an excellent basis for a flourishing entrepreneurial environment. The Scandinavian CLC has eight Core partners and 11 Associate partners who are collaborating together in groups to work with EIT Health Campus, Accelerator and user-driven Innovation Projects. Together we support collaboration with partners from other CLCs in activities like: EIT Health Starter Labs, Innovation Day, Head Start/Proof of Concept funding and TestBed/Living Lab activities. The Scandinavian CLC itself has supported: 2016 Proof of Concept awards; Asthmatuner - Asthma self management; EasyAngle; Modified Probiotics; Social robots; Proxium; SmartTourniquet; Mental Health service solution.
