In partnership with Medicinska Föreningen (MF) and Karolinska Institute, and on behalf of the Business Committee, a group of 12 students full of energy gathered around a table with the objective to organize an unique career fair. Many attempts to organize a major career fair had been made in the past and the team was well aware of the heavy task on its shoulders. A brand was needed, and after a 6 hour brainstorming meeting on a cold March Saturday afternoon, the idea of CHaSE came up. “It’s catchy and reflects the pursuit of your dreams” – one of the team members said. It was set, CHaSE was gonna happen!
During the few months ahead, the CHaSE team worked hard in defining its role and objectives. No business idea is to be successful if: i) Its not unique in its field; ii) It does not answer a well sought need. It had to be big, it had to be unique and it would have to answer the current reality. Lets face it (!): the traditional academia pyramid is collapsing as we speak. So CHaSE got its goals: i) To create awareness towards alternative careers; ii) To bridge the gap between the academia and the privatized world; iii) To do that in an interactive-stimulating environment.
