Purpose of Processing
By choosing to submit your CV and providing your consent, you agree that the Business Committee may collect and process your personal data for the purpose of facilitating recruitment and networking opportunities in connection with the career fair.
The personal data processed is collected directly from you when you submit your CV.
What personal data we process
The personal data processed may include:
- Name and contact details (such as email address and phone number)
- Educational background
- Work experience
- Skills and qualifications
- Any other personal data you choose to include in your CV
How your data will be used
Your CV will be made available to participating companies for review in connection with the career fair for the purpose of recruitment and networking. Only companies that express an interest in your profile will receive or retain a copy of your CV.
Once your CV has been shared with a participating company, that company becomes independently responsible for its processing of your personal data in accordance with its own privacy practices. If you wish to exercise your rights in relation to a company’s processing of your personal data, you should contact that company directly.
The Business Committee will not use your personal data for any purpose other than administering the CV collection and facilitating contact between candidates and participating companies, unless required by law.
Legal Basis
The legal basis for processing your personal data is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.
You may withdraw your consent at any time before your CV has been shared with an interested company by contacting the Business Committee. If you withdraw your consent before your CV has been shared, your CV will be deleted from the CV collection and will no longer be made available to participating companies.
Once your CV has been shared with a company, the Business Committee cannot require that company to delete copies already received. Any request relating to the company’s continued processing should be directed to the company concerned.
Data Retention
The Business Committee will retain your CV only for as long as necessary to administer the CV collection and no longer than 12 months after submission, unless a shorter retention period applies or you request deletion before your CV is shared.
Participating companies that receive your CV will determine their own retention periods in accordance with their own applicable data protection legislation.
Personal data will only be shared with companies established within the EU/EEA.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request deletion of your personal data where applicable.
- Request restriction of processing.
- Withdraw your consent before your CV has been shared with an interested company.
- Lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY) if you believe your personal data has been processed unlawfully.
